OAKLAND SILVER & GOLD

Amazing store owners. Brian took the time to answer all my questions about my coin collection over the phone, then booked a time for me to come in person. In person, he spent an hour looking at my collection and pricing things out for me. Very knowledgeable, and honest. If I ever have a need in the future with coins, gold, or silver I know where I'm going back to.

Have you seen the price of gold lately??!! Time to go thru your old unfashionable gold jewelry and bring it in to OSG. While I usually go to them for buying/selling coins, I recently brought in some out of style but still real gold jewelry. They understandably will test it to assure whether it is solid or just plated (or sometimes it is just crap!) , and also the karat (the purity of the gold). They quote you a value, and it is up to you whether you want to keep the jewelry, or can walk away with funds to go buy something new and fashionable. They are extremely honest and patient. And they are also polite and kind if letting you know that the “gold” bracelet your ex-boyfriend bought you turns out to be fake. I notice some reviews are from people angry when OSG informs them that their jewelry or chains are not real gold. If those people were told elsewhere that their jewelry was real, then they should just go to those places and sell it there.

I went to this business based on the reviews because I was anxious about finding someone who would be honest. It was easy to make an appointment over the phone and Brian was great to work with. He explained the reasons behind grading coins for value and helped me make informed decisions. I will be recommending this great shop to friends!

I’ve sold some coins over the years to a few different shops in the Bay Area. But now I always come back to Brian and Jennifer. They are knowledgeable and courteous. It can be intimidating (at least for me!) selling coins, but they are nothing but fair and honest. They’ll tell you what you need to know, and answer any questions you’re having. I’ve always left their shop with a positive experience. Highly recommend!

Very nice little shop. Visiting a friend in the hospital from out of town and stopped by. Didn’t realize they were mostly by appointment, but luckily I snuck in between appointments and had a lovely conversation about precious metals and other coin shops. Definitely worth a visit.

We have used them a few times. Very honest and professional. Have been the most honest on buying product from us, and we always get an education. We highly recommend using Oakland Silver & Gold.

Had a great experience with Oakland Silver and Gold. Had never sold gold before, so we called first and got a quote on our coin. I made an appointment, went in sold it and was back on the street with a check in my pocket in 5 minutes. The woman behind the counter was very friendly and knew her business. I'd highly recommend them to anyone wanting to sell gold coins. My guess is that they are great when you buy good too. A good experience all the way around!
